Growth of Hookup Culture in India

We Indians have been influenced a lot from the western culture and no doubt, that we are inculcating and acquiring their traits. Whether it's the clothing, food, song, language used for communication etc., we have evolved entirely and are sinking more in the name of modernization. 

Hook-up  isn't just a word now, as it has made its space in the most trending topics in India. Technically hook-up means a connection or link, especially to mains electricity or for communication or broadcasting equipment but who even shows interest in technical stuff, right? So, let's face the other meaning of "Hook-up" and it's 'a casual sexual encounter'. I believe this has another name to it and that's "Casual Dating".

An intercourse without the promise of serious relationship or any kind of emotional bond is the layman definition of "Hook-up". But how true is it? How nifty is it to get rid of the sexual arousal without a commitment and emotional bond? How do people manage having sex with strangers? Well, that's exactly what I used to think in the past but now I've all the answers and very clearly I'll answer all the questions that are expected to come in your mind while thinking about "Hook-up".

I came across "Gehraiyaan's Title Track" today, I generally don't watch movies as I hate wasting my time over such entertainments but one thing that I was able to figure out from the video was, the hook-ups that the individuals were having was actually connecting them at a level deeper than the emotional connect and that resulted into depression, anxiety, fear of losing each other etc. when they (the individuals) were trying to make out with the other new. 

 Now, It's time to answer all the questions, starting from the above discussed case of Gehraiyaan's Title Track, one thing is for sure that:

Having casual sex can result into depression, anxiety and undue longing for that very individual as there's nothing casual about having sex. When you share your body with someone then nostalgia is created, a sense of trust develops and emotions too play a major role in the procedure.

Secondly, I'd like saying before actually performing sex on bed never expect things that are showed in porn as that is very fake. Read about sex and prepare yourself well for it. But still remember you need to be mentally prepared to take this step, mental stability is the top most priority.

Moreover, hook-up is all about being hooked if not to the individual then to the very practice of doing/having sex. Good self-control is imperative too as humans are the only creature on this planet who can perform things consciously.

I'd like concluding by adding that hook-up might seem cool to you but it has a lot of consequences too. A recent report stated that the toppers of foreign universities are mainly Asians as they don't go through all the grief, agony and undue stress of performing badly on bed with their partners or experience redundant break-ups.
