Gender Norms in India
Gender Norm a topic which has been overlooked since the past few years and the one which yet hasn't made its place in the trendy topics. For understanding this topic we, first need to under 'What gender actually is'. Either of the three sexes (male, female and transgender), especially when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male, female and transgender.
One thing is pretty evident that gender is a social construct not a biological factor. Being social is imperative but abiding by the injudicious rules of the very society can make you an asinine. I agree, that when we live in society we need to live in a way that is comfortable for everybody but on the same time never submerge yourself in such unauthentic, useless norms.
Maintaining good relations with every individual is vital but never let their views, ideas or mentality act as an impediment in your life. Liberalize yourself to wear whatever you want to, put makeup irrespective of your gender, talk in whichever way you want to and walk in the way which is more comfortable to you.
I hope the information shared is valuable and you've been able to understand the concept/topic properly.
